Ahead of tomorrow’s State of the Union address, AEPO-ARTIS has sent an open letter to President Von der Leyen, Vice-President Virkkunen, Commissioner Micallef and other policymakers to urge them to prioritise artists and European culture, drawing their attention to the vital role of Europe’s cultural and creative sectors, and in particular to the situation of artists and performers, whose contribution to Europe’s cultural, social and economic fabric should be firmly reflected in the European Commission’s priorities for the years ahead.
